2012 Schedule of "New-trition by Carla" Classes

Learn the truth of how your body works,
so you can know how to work with your body!

New Schedule: 
Classes will be the first Tuesday of each month!
AND... Special Topic to be on Fifth Tuesdays (there will be 4 of them!)

Location:  300 E. Sunshine, Suite I

Time:  6pm to 8pm (be on time for seating!)

Fee: $10 per person
($30 max per family living in same household)

JANUARY 3

Chem Strips Basics - This is a repeat class to kick off our "Self Assessment - Self Care" Series. This class will be followed by "Taking Vital Signs" in February and "The Importance of Body Temperatures" in March.   These classes are to teach you how you can monitor your own health and metabolism. As you build natural health your body will tell you through urinalysis, temperature, pulses, pHs and more what is going on at the cell level. 

JANUARY 31 (FIFTH TUESDAY)

Holistic Weight Management - If weight loss is one of your New Year's Resolutions, we recommend you attend this class. Permanent, healthy weight loss will require considering the very powerful mind-body connection as well as your relationship with food.  Since last teaching this class in 2011, Carla and Ronne have successfully dropped pounds and are still overcoming the "food trap".  Join us on this empowering journey!

FEBRUARY 7

Taking Vital Signs - Part 2 of our Self-Assessment for Self-Care series. This class is not just about the mechanics of taking vital signs; it is about the amazing human body's circulatory, respiratory, and metabolic systems constantly at work to keep you 'vital'!  You will learn what it all means as well as common conventional misunderstandings about a few simple numbers.  Lecture, open discussion and demonstration make this class informative and fun!

March 6

The Importance of Temperatures - The final Part 3 of our Self-Assessment for Self-Care series will focus on body temperatures.  Learn how and why to monitor temperatures as a key indicator of metabolism, thyroid and liver function and even digestion.  Upon completing this series, you will have the basic tools and understanding to monitor your and your family's health.  The upcoming classes (The Eight Building Blocks to Optimal Health) are the 'rest of the story' in establishing a natural health lifestyle free of chronic disease.

Love Your Liver - Another 'back by popular demand' class; If your liver isn't happy, your body isn't happy!  You will learn the many incredible functions of your liver and how to keep it happy and healthy!  You will learn the dangers of liver cleanses, the intricate liver/thyroid dance as well as the liver's connection with cholesterol and hormones.  So much to know and appreciate about one of the most important organs of the human body!

The Truth About Starches - A new addition to our "Truth About" series, this class will discuss starches in a whole new depth than ever before. Most people think a starch is a starch is starch and they're all bad; and potatoes are the worst of all. Not totally correct. Did you know there are 'resistant' starches that can actually be beneficial to metabolism and colon function?  Why are corn tortillas OK, but not corn?  As is our usual fashion, myths are dispelled as truth is revealed!
